Tell me all about it, dear...

We all learn, day by day. I've always been lucky enough to have a job with paid sick days... it was even luckier that I was salaried when I broke my ankle and was off for 8 weeks... my pay came in every week, whether I was there or not.

Glad to read that you are feeling better. Good luck with the education of kids who oversleep. I expect Wolf learned his lesson and will be checking the alarm every night now.

Glad to hear you're feeling beter. Don't push it, though; flu is one of those nasty things that can hang around forever if you try to do too much too soon. (Or maybe that makes no difference and it hangs around forever anyway - I don't know, I'm no doctor. Either way, might as well relax while your body is craving it.)

I'm with ya on this one, my first-born is a stranger to me...the rest of my kids think I'm somewhere on a continuum spanning "rather cool and helpful" to "annoying, but cute"... But LA, I submit to you, at some point, we gotta be let off the hook a bit,we gotta quit taking the rap for their crappy subsequent damn choices... to paraphrase Maya Angelou yet again, "You did what you knew how to do at the time. And when you knew better, you did better."

I know the whole "get fired for using your time" thing. That is horrendous and it happens all the time. Not at this museum, however. My whole staff is sick. How can I knock them down when we are all in the same boat?

I'm up a few years on you in the mom department but sounds like we're learning the same lessons. Glad to hear you're feeling better; and like you, I know the fired-for-being-sick routine all too well. Sad, sad.

And you are?
