My smart-ass kid just played me a dedication: 'Mrs Robinson'. Such a comedian. ~LA

Ok, hold on while I show my total ignorance here. What is GWAR??

I'd annoy SonnyeBoy like that, but he's armed. ;-)

I've been old for so long, I gave up long ago trying to get bands' names. They are all Greek to me. I listen to late night radio when I can't sleep...but I don't think I can get his station... what is it?

Bex - 2006-10-27 07:30:26
Duh, if I'd comprehend what I read, I'd know the answer to my question above... sorry! I don't download programs on my computer as I use it mainly for work, so I'm afraid I can't get his station.

Isn't it incredibly cool to hear your kid on the radio?

Wish I was up to hear. My aunt was a DJ at Oneonta. I did a gig at Cortland. Not long though. Suprisingly, I liked behind the scenes better!

That's fantastic. It's been ages since I've heard GWAR. And, offense to all you GWAR fans, but that's probably a good thing.

Mrs. Robinson! LOL! My eldest did some 2 a.m. gigs on the SUNY Binghamton radio station when he was a teenager... somewhere I still have a tape of one of his shows, loud late 70s and early 80s punk rock (this would have been around summer of '84 or '85) -- GWAR is probably more metal than the stuff he played but the attitude was right on target. My brother sometimes fills in on WKNY in Kingston.

I would be mortified if my mom called me at a radio station, but he handled it very charmingly. Can't imagine where he got that sense of humor though. Hmmm? :-)
