Tell me all about it, dear...

Personally, I think lasagne sounds like an AWESOME Easter dinner, and in fact I'm now craving some. ;-) Lasagne, a great big honkin' salad with everything but the kitchen sink, garlic bread, and some fabulous desserts. YUM.

You could do a traditional ham and make another meat dish for Mick. I am sure he would understand...and maybe, just maybe, he would taste your wonderful ham and like it.

I like the lasagna idea, too. I've never met anyone who didn't like a good lasagna, and I love lasagna as leftovers.

Over-burden the table with slow cooked brisket, potato salad (lots of yellow mustard), pinto beans and tangy slaw. Cherry pie and vanilla ice cream to kill them softly at the end.

I'll be in Los Angeles grabbing something at the Farmer's Market before I make my way to the La Brea Tar Pits!

Hmm lamb's not horrible price-wise if you stay away from the prissy little cuts and go for the full on leg of. Scored and slathered with a mix of butter, garlic, a little vinegar and herbs... yum. Damn now I want roast leg of lamb.

We always have ham, the only time of year we do a big ham. My Dear Husband cooks this holiday since he LOVES LOVES LOVES ham, which works for me. He insists on doing the whole thing from soup to nuts including the dessert, so I am nice and let him.You could do a smaller ham and a lasagna, or whatever sounds good to you or Mick, no rules really, and neither would make bad leftovers.

Why not go with the whole Easter theme (eggs and spring) and make a quiche? or even a chocolate souffle for dessert...

Do a lasagna and a roast chicken and roasty veg. (Chickens are super easy) that way you have a choice.

And you are?
