I'm sure Mick was happy to make you laugh and enjoyed every second of it. So...maybe you can make meat for the menfolk and just eat veggies yourself.

I really DID LOL, and I can't honestly say that too often. Been here , done that one the budget crisis. We get paid every other Friday, but we pay ourselves, so it doesn't mean much. I have to make sure everyone else's checks won't bounce before I deposit ours so I am often weighing 'do I need this today, or can it wait until the end of the week/next week' etc.

I hardly ever eat whatever it is that I've prepared for dinner. After cooking it, I can barely stand the sight of it (that's how much I've grown to hate cooking). I'll just grab this or that, and meat is rarely involved, although I do still enjoy it when I go out to eat.

That mental image was AWESOME. Thank you. :-)

Hmmmm, that is a dilemma. I can sympathize. Living in a mixed-diet household can be quite a challenge. Even the vegan/vegetarian mix at my house was quite difficult, at first.

The only good thing about getting paid every two weeks is that some months there are 3 paychecks. I know, it makes the next month a bit slim, but it's almost like a bonus!

LA, I totally get what you mean about how a reception without a wedding would feel wrong. This is one of the many reasons that I don't think the state should be involved with marriage, at all. You had to get married for legal reasons, so, instead of it being a personal and beautiful thing, it turned into another contractual obligation. A wedding SHOULD be a personal and meaningful thing. You should have a wedding in a tradition that's meaningful to you, not just a reception. In many traditions, you wouldn't even be considered married.

And you are?
