Tell me all about it, dear...

I haven't been able to bring myself to read that mother's letter all the way though, but I did read Iron Daisy's response (http://theirondaisywrites.wordpress.com/2013/09/04/fyi-if-youre-a-teenage-boy/) and a Huff post article that points out how this asinine letter perpetuates the rape culture (http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/darlena-cunha/kim-hall-letter_b_3874398.html).

Was "Bottom line" a joke? 'Cause it was a good one. (And how come I was never subjected to wonton bimbettes when I was that age? I needed a chance to prove I could honorably resist...could studiously ignore...could respec...could...uh...could oh my god, BOOBIES!)

I do think it is important for both sexes to learn what is appropriate and what is not. Nowadays ( is SO a word) media tells females they have to flaunt themselves to get ahead....it's been that way for eons but most of us learned how to behave properly and use our femininity for good not evil. Blessings to those who try to teach good behavior and manners and respect for everyone.

PREACH! Seriously. If women have the power to control the thoughts of men through clothing, why the hell do we still live in a patriarchy then? If only more mothers of sons were like you. Ironically, right before I read your blog post, I read the article below. I never read the open-letter thingy, but it sounds like she'd totally be in the lets-stone-the-non-burka-wearers camp. http://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2013/09/10/comment/columns/hijab-the-illusion-of-choice/
