Tell me all about it, dear...

I wish I could say that I liked any kind of horror. I stopped watching the TV series Charmed halfway through because it was starting to get to be too scary for me. I also wish I could say that Mick's old friend wasn't disgusting. I like to look for the best in people and try to find reasonable explanations for their bad behavior. I can't say that maybe he's suffering from dementia because he's too young. I can't say that he's reeling from facing his own immortality because of the death of his friend and is awkwardly attempting some YOLO attitude. He's been doing this his whole life. It's one thing to be disrespectful towards women, but to hit on your friend's wife at a funeral? Poor Mick. I can't even imagine what he must be going through, right now. The sense of betrayal must be immense.

By the way, I LOVE Moonstruck! Although, that conversation never demonstrated to me that Cosmo was a black & white guy. It always left me thinking, "He knows it's a man's pinkie ring after that short glance? Wow, the man knows a lot about jewelry for a plumber." I guess I was missing the point!

Sadly there are some men who think they are so cool when they resort to such stupid remarks....we have a great neighbor here in the RV park. He would do anything for you; can build and construct wonderful additions at a reasonable price but he makes the crudest jokes in mixed company.

Sad but true that the male notion of taking what I want overlaps the chivalrous male tendencies that respect convention and tradition in certain circumstances... that is what I think your boy Jay has going on. He is pleasing his Momma while chasing the ladies no matter what and it is a win/win situation for the guy doing it everytime (maybe). Your taste in movies reminds me of mine in many ways... I am a bit more prone to the old school horror and fantasy (lord of the rings..) or sci-fi (The Matrix -although that could be horror too) but mixing it up is what it is all about and all of it is relevant in the human adventure

Rebecca loves True Blood. I'll have to check it out after I catch up on The Walking Dead. (I don't love it, but I've watched enough to be curious about what happens next.) That story about Jay is pretty creepy. Ugh.

I loved True Blood when it started -- and even though I think they jumped the shark a while back, we still enjoy it and will be watching in June when the new season starts.
