Tell me all about it, dear...

My old chair had a plastic edge that cracked, so every time I sat down, I risked pinching the back of my thigh. I put a towel on it for a few months and then decided to go get myself a new chair. Wow! Was I ever glad I did! I got a mesh-back wonder with 500 ways to adjust the seat. I find I can sit here and work for hours now without fear of blood loss.

I saw a really nice computer chair for $10 at a yard sale a couple of months ago, and have been kicking myself ever since for not buying it.

Check Staples, my current throne is a happy place found there... getting a bit flat after five years but still my happy place. Second happy seat is from Ilkea in my official business office, that chair may be a bit more sturdy than my personal throne... if this it your xmas shop around a bit

In terms of writing, a couple entries ago you mentioned your process of smoking while thinking and then writing and back and forth. What if you got a thing of silly putty or something. Roll it into a ball while you think ((it's actually harder to get a perfect sphere than one might think) and then smash it and start writing. Rinse and repeat. I'm not sure if it'll help, but it's something repetitive and slightly physical that doesn't require much thought, but might be enough to anchor you like smoking did. Perhaps?

Hello lovely lady! Bravo to you for making the cigarette habit a part of your personal history La. To say that I myself have 'been there, done that' would be an understatement and I salute anyone with the cajones to give it all they have and succeed at this as I know you will too. I just ordered an electronic cigarette that is on sale on the internet for only $5.00 as a promo deal at www.greenpuffer.com and I think it is still being sold at that price. My doctor said he doesn't mind his patients using these as an alternative to the real deal because the nicotine habit isn't really that bad in his opinion and still allows us the pleasure of seeing the 'smoke' (water vapor) when it's exhaled and still gives us the Nicotine and mouth pleasure at the same time. As for a new office chair, I found my current throne at Walmart of all places for $55 bucks. It adjusts 90 ways to Sunday and is sturdy as well as comfortable as hell. It's standard black leather on the seating area and vinyl on the back and has very comfy arms too rest your own arms on. Give it a test-sit at your local Walmart (or Sam's club I would imagine) and I think you may just find that the chair fits your needs quite nicely and won't break the bank too badly at all. Good luck to you sweetie and I hope your family has a marvelous Christmas this season if I don't make it over here in time for the 25th, or in case everything goes ticka-ticka POW! on the 21st doncha know. *snort* Ciao lovely La !

Good luck with the chair hunt. Last year, our computer chair snapped with a vengance and threw me to the concrete floor in the Florida room. Not a pleasant ride, either!
