Your day(s) at the beach sound wonderful. I recall you spied some of the Jersey Shore people when the show was first on tv....wonder if you will see them at all this time? Whatever the case, I am sure you will enjoy your hours at the beach....and have stories to tell when you return.

I find the ocean nourishing, too. When I was in the Midwest, I lived with serious beach withdrawal for years. Every once in awhile the odd person will tell that they don't care for the beach, and it just perplexes me. It's like if someone told me that they didn't like ice cream.

"During the late 1970s when every woman under 300lbs was sporting a teeny crocheted string bikini" -- well, I guess I missed that because during my grad student days in the decade of the 1970s SUNY/Binghamton had Empire Lake, a beautiful lake & camp grounds off in rural Tioga County which, by longstanding student tradition, was clothing optional. However, about 10 years before that I saw a SUNY/New Paltz coed in a tiny string bikini she had crocheted herself. I think the Empire Lake nudity appeared more modest than that brief entanglement of yarn.
