Tell me all about it, dear...

Forgive me. I know you're not looking for dream analysis. You're just looking to get it out (and that's totally understood). It just really strikes me that the place where you retreated (your room), was the thing that was the biggest threat to you. It makes me wonder if this is how your inner world can feel to you, sometimes. My inner world can hurt me a lot, too, but for some reason, I tend to be empowered there. UGH! Well, lots of grounding, solid hugs over the psychic wire to you.

Having experienced nightmares that seem more real than reality, I understand. You will be okay. Sending good thoughts.

I understand the dreams. I've got them like that, too. I also understand feeling crushed by other people's expectations.

It will be ok...I'm sorry you have these types of night terrors. My worst are being in a old building, climbing to the top and knowing Satan is right behind me if I turn around.....I'm sometimes afraid to look in the mirror in the bathroom at night for that reason...

Sex at night keeps me awake. Does the opposite for my guy.

Someone science-oriented might also point out that sometimes sleep paralysis (normal process that disables your body from moving when you sleep so you don't actually walk around when you dream you're walking around - sleep-walking is what happens when this doesn't work) persists when you're half-awake, and your subconscious can do weird things with this. I get recurring dreams that I'm trying to walk and my legs don't work well, that I'm pretty sure are from this cause.

I should have said that even if that's why you had the nightmare, I don't suppose knowing the cause would make the emotional impact any less traumatic. But sometimes that knowledge can help divert future nightmares, at least.

One of the strangest (and scariest) dreams I've ever had involved the devil biting me on the ass - through a mattress, no less. I know it sounds funny, and I've had many a good laugh over it since then, but, at the time, it was terrifying. I could feel the sharp, pointed teeth piercing my flesh, and I could feel myself twisting in agony, trying to free myself from the demon's grip. I woke up in a sweaty panic, my heart pounding so hard I could feel it in my ears. It took a long time for the sense of panic to recede, but it did, and everything really IS okay.

I've had nightmares that I had a hard time shaking off, but that one is a doozy. Sending hugs and hope that the evilness worked its way out and you have peaceful sleeps.

Ack no jokes lately. Sending a hug intentions your way. Actually the plumber guy referring to the exhaust fan as the "fart fan" was close to a joke...

LA, I feel like we were separated at birth sometimes. At least in the world of dreams. I honestly don't know if my dream really happened or not most days. Every single night I have vivid lucid dreams, but not for long, I hardly ever sleep.
