Tell me all about it, dear...

And AMEN to all that. Pregnancy Nazis are the worst kind of women (or men) and they can all fuck off. Babies come out, generally OK, whether youve read the right books, worn the right clothes or take the right classes. I second every single word that you said. s x

I guess I don't spend enough time around mothers or pregnant women to know anything about pregnancy nazis, but I agree with everything you've said. Although, I'm quite familiar with the pity and disapproval for women who choose not to have children. Luckily, I don't live in a place and time where I'm bullied much about it, but I have a lot of childless friends living in small communities that don't have it so easy.

Anyone who scares pregnant women with horror stories about giving birth should have to do night feedings for a year!

I only give horror stories about teenagers. Labor isn't especially fun and I agree that painkillers are da bomb, but really - after your child's there and healthy, the labor part pretty much stops counting anyway.

I agree with you. Telling a new pregnant mom horror stories is a terrible thing to do. Tell them how happy they will be when the baby comes, tell them that they will get through it all and do well. Too many women get overwhelmed with all of it and then get postnatal depression too. It's not the way to start your new life as a mom....

For some reason, pregnancy and wisdom teeth removal seem to bring out the worst stories from everyone.
