*HUG* You're a sweet, kind, considerate, talented, and insightful lady. Just thought I'd let you know.

14& 15 is such a hard age. They can't drive yet, want to go places, but must rely on others to get them there, especially where we live and public transit is almost non-existent. I would drive my son(s) and try to blend in with the car, try not to get involved in their conversations too much, or remind them I was really there. So, yeah, my youngest was gone for one semester to college but is now living back home and going to the community college, makes it a little awkward as our schedules are totally irregular and we seem to all be here at all the wrong times.

Be grateful your son CAN'T drive yet. That brings its own brand of terror. (He's late. Did a drunk driver mow him down? Did he run into a tree? Did he and his latest girlfriend make me a pending grandmother?) I'm just sayin'. However, there's no rule that makes you take the kid along. You could always do something else for the son, giving you and the spouse some "we" time. I'm thinking a gift card to the movies with hot dogs, etc., or drop him and a bud at a skating rink, something he'd like that would be more about him and less about him joining the candelit supper, lol.

It seems to me that Wolf may need the Valentine love more than Mick this year.

Oh, yeah, I can remember being Wolf's age (okay, so it was in ancient times, but hormones are hormones) and have gone through that stage with two sons (and one daughter). May you have strength.

I was worried, too, that watching Say Yes to the Dress would give me that same sort melancholy. I feel like my whole TV watching life has been an exercise in seeing what I cant have. I'm really sorry that things didn't work out the way you wanted.

I haven't played Sims in years...but I seem to remember that you can put him in the bathroom, remove all the plumbing and the door and window and he will die....then the grim reaper comes and takes him away.....and no one will be the wiser...Buuwahahaha!

And you are?
