Tell me all about it, dear...

Hang in there. It's possible that walking will just never do it, for you. I'm not trying to be negative about it, but I wouldn't want you laboring under the idea that it's guarenteed to become fun, at some point. We're all different. I do believe that there is a physical activity for everyone. It's just a matter of finding it. I don't know how long you've been doing this, but I definitely encourage you to give it a fair chance, try different routes, different kinds of music, audiobooks, podcasts, and see if any changes make it enjoyable. Good for you for keeping up with it! It's always nice to hear that loved ones are taking their health seriously. *HUG*

Hate to tell you this, but I never do get an endorphin high from exercise. I'm pretty sure that it would have happened by now if it was going to. As far as Old Country attitudes.... it's true to some extent, but not entirely, ere people follow tradition in many ways, but they are also no-nonsense, and I work at a company that was born and mostly grew here that is one the very bleeding edge forefront of technology. We do optics now that people didn't used to think was possibly, like imaging features smaller than one wavelength of light. Maybe it's a Dutch thing: the ones that didn't immigrate were still traders. They went out and explored and saw the world, and then came home. Or didn't; a very high percentage of people I know have relatives around the world, from the US to Indonesia.

If you do it enough days in a row it will be a habit, and you will need to go. Keep going, it will be worth it!
