Tell me all about it, dear...

Hurrah for skipping Christmas altogether this year. I could not agree more and will be following suit here at Casa de Birmingham in Tucson. It's just me and my folks and not one of us have a need for anything and have too much stuff as it is, so no presents will be sitting under the non-existent tree this year either. Brothers and sisters don't give a fig and don't come over here anymore unless it's to extort money from my parents so no loss there. I WILL however make some lovely cookies and a nice Christmas dinner for the 3 of us and relax and enjoy the stress-free day that it should be. Just seeing all of the holiday traffic yesterday while grocery shopping made my heart sink. Oh well, Santa died years ago in this household and not being religious at all the holiness of the occassion was a dud. At any rate, I hope you all enjoy a wonderful relaxing day and do what December 25th is really all about: Being with those you love and showing it with true affection. Cheers to all of us ! - John in Tucson

Things are low key here since it's just Nancy and me here in the empty nest. We decorated a tree and put some lights on a tree outside, but I think that's going to be it. Nancy & I have agreed that our new garage doors are our Christmas gifts to each other.

I can see Mick twitching from here. He will drive himself crazy thinking that you WANT to have all the craziness. Get ready to reassure him! LOL
