Tell me all about it, dear...

Our holidays will be different this year too. Haven't quite decided what to do about Thanksgiving....we might get an invite or two from people we know in this area or we might just find a restaurant....

Ah yes, the holidays are indeed upon us once again to add more stress to our lives. So the Pilgrams gave the Indians Smallpox and VD and pretty much wiped them out and stole their land - and we celebrate this part of American history...why? I agree with you La, getting out into the community that we live in and contributing our time, money, food and genuine caring - THAT is thanksgiving worth celebrating. It's just my parents and myself here at the house so I'm thniking a nice roasting chicken with fresh sage (mmmm) and assorted veggies. Nothing fancy, but the house will smell wonderful ! Glad you enjoyed the kids play too. There are some damned talented young folk out there that will one day be on Broadway and in the movies. Perhaps the young introverted lady you and Mick saw will be one of them. Wouldn't that be cool a wonderful story to tell? Glad things are settling down a bit for you and Mick.

We're definitely not doing a big whoopity-do for Thanksgiving. I'm gonna be two days out of surgery so G's going to cook the big meal. Which I intend to prepare a couple of days early so his cooking is limited to turning on the oven and dumping a can of veggies into a pan on top of the stove. I love your idea of helping in soup kitchens though!
