Tell me all about it, dear...

Happy birthday to MIL! P.S. I love Dick Van Dyke!

I had almost forgotten that the first album I ever bought, probably paid $1 for it at WT Grant, was the sound track from Mary Poppins. Why, I don't know, I was a kid, but I loved those songs, mostly because I could sing along with them, I guess. I too otherwise don't like musicals after 4 years of HS choir/choraliers with a choir instructor who LOVED Broadway show tunes more than life iTself. A little O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A! goes a long, long way.

There are handy walkers for sale that even have a seat on them, that would make it much easier for MIL, even in a small cheesebox..... I used one when I broke my ankle, and it was a godsend! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_28?url=search-alias%3Dhpc&field-keywords=walkers+with+wheels+and+seat&sprefix=walkers+with+wheels+and+seat

I hope the more positive comments outweighed the nasty snark but you know best how to handle that. As for your loving birthday bash for MIL, I'm sure she will be thrilled. Hope this is the last of her bone breaks too.

Have a wonderful time - and make sure and take a lap in the pool for me!

I saw "Hairspray" yesterday and laughed and cried. Yes, musicals are hokey but it's the chance to suspend belief that I absolutely cherish. LOL!
