Tell me all about it, dear...

As I recall, my nephews may not have had actual planned or structured sleepovers (unlike girls, who plan the night's activities out ahead of time), but the house was always full of their friends crashing there, staying up late and then calling home to say they'd be staying over at Jeff's or John's. No planned activities, probably (dare I say) poker and porn as they got older and drove around on their own. But guys staying over, not as uncommon as you might think, just different.

I certainly don't fit in. For the most part, that has served me quite well.

I'll never forget Daniel saying (after he met Wolf), "He's extraordinarily good-looking, isn't he?" As for Spring break, we didn't have the extra day for Memorial Day this year, so we have to work on Monday. Grumble.

My son found his own way through school too. He had a few good friends, he was funny and he was happy when he was alone as well. Glad that Wolf is acting like a regular teen, snarky comments and sometimes rude behavior and all. He will turn out very well, I am sure. Hope the week with the "boys at home" goes well for you too

I appreciate what you expressed about " What the heck is NORMAL anyway? It doesn't exist". Ain't it the truth though? Like you and your kids, I too was at least blessed with a high intellect but I was dealing with being Gay during my formative years. Talk about not fitting in. Jesus - all of the beatings and downright daily humiliation for just trying to fit in. Bah. In the end, we are who we are and damn the fools that are too blind to see the wonderful people that most of us turn out to be in the end. Well except for George Bush. His Mama needs a slap for that boy. John in Phoenix.
