Tell me all about it, dear...

I could never bear to see my kids in pain - physical or emotional. I always handled it worse than they did!

I still can't bear to hear of SonnyeBoy's scrapes - especially when he calls to tell me he just got out of the hospital! (He's fine.) GAH!

My grown son casually mentioned to me as he was going in for nasal surgery that he had taken a header off his bike when he was about 10 yrs old...Dr. said he probably broke his nose....He NEVER told me and I never saw any bruises back then. Yikes! Good luck with the stink bugs....eeuw!

You are such a good mom. My mom used to ask me if anything was broken. If I said no, I was on my own to clean up, disinfect, etc. She certainly never cried about it. Wolf is lucky to have you.

You my dear are a FABULOUS mother, bar none ! I have a Mom just like you and I consider myself utterly blessed to have her in my life. It's my Father that always scared the crap outta me. I broke my jaw and ripped my chin and chest to shreds one Sunday morning on my paper route when the front wheel came off my bike. Thank god I had friends with me to get me home - however, I went to my bedroom and sobbed quietly so my Father wouldn't know that I hurt myself so I could avoid his yelling at me. My Mother though heard me and came in and gasped when she saw my jaw out of whack and me covered in blood and immediately took me to the ER breaking all speed limits. She slept in a chair next to my hospital bed for 5 days even though I was totally out due to a lovely morphine drip ( I was only 14 yrs old) and when I finally woke up she let me know that she understood why I didn't tell them that I was hurt, and she let my father HAVE IT big time. My Dad did show up at the hospital eventually with his tail between his legs and appologized to me for making me feel like I couldn't come to him and ask for help. Thank God for my mother and her undying devotion to all 5 of her children. Like I said, you are a GREAT mom and I can appreciate all that you do for your loved ones. Hope Wolf is gonna be alright. Me thinks he needs a grilled cheese sandwich and his Mom's continued soothing kisses and declaration that all is well indeed. Bless you sweetie !

i hear you with the kid injuries as for stink bugs....an exterminator friend says to kill the little fuckers you need to put a roach bomb in the attic. apparently they come in via the attic, so setting it off up there kills them and keeps them out for a while. we haven't had to try it yet though, our infestation hasn't gotten past the once-in-a-while bug. i do expect that to change :s
