Tell me all about it, dear...

I spend my days surrounded by teenagers, talk about feeling old.

Now see, before this most recent burst of not-feeling-well, I had a friend come for a visit. I put on my thigh-high stockings and garters, my CFM heels, my black skirt and my very tight, low-cut jacket. I tousled the hell out of my hair, applied a very little makeup and I went to karaoke.

Baby, believe me, while gravity and age do take their toll, all you have to do is seize the sexy with both hands and work it, and it WILL come back for a visit! As my friend observed (while he was totally cock-blocking all comers) one fellow wanted to take me home, one wanted to make me his wife, and one just wanted to be near me!

And we aren't counting any of the "little boys" that were under 35 who had definite lustful leanings. So you are NOT out for the count! I'm 51, so I have seniority here!

I had all my mojo ripped out of me at age 32. Every bit of my female innards GONE. That means Sex Drive Goes With The Wind. What a rip off that was. I still mourn my missing sexuality and I am now 59.

"I'd do it with Mike Tyson first." That made me laugh out loud. But I didn't laugh as I read the rest of the entry. I sat here nodding my head in sorrowful agreement. Sigh.

Not convinced. (Admittedly, part of this is me desperately refusing to be convinced. I just turned 44.) I think it's a phase. Go look at pictures of Katherine Hepburn. SHe was stunningly beautiful at 20, 30, 60, 70. But in her late 40s and 50s? Meh. (Well, OK, a lot better than meh. She was still Katherine Hepburn. But compared to herself in both earlier and later years, she was definitely less stunning. I think there's a point when your face and body are starting to change and they're not there yet, that can be a bit hard to deal with, but I do tink it's temporary. At least, I hope so.

Every word is true, but at least you made me giggle about it...although I just looked down my shirt at my braless boobs and they still have a teeny tiny perkiness left in them. I figure that will be gone by next Tuesday around 3:38 p.m...heeheehee

Myopia is the blessing after 45. Digital cameras too, you can delete any photo that is too hard to look at. Photoshop, on occasion, for those group shots. (I always think, in a few years, when I look at this photo I'll be thinking I looked pretty good, then!) There are scores of r&r & punk rockers our age with tattoos and style. A bad ass pair of boots can be worn wear at any age. I modify the skirt length.

OMG.....looking in the mirror and seeing my mother does it for me. I loved my mother and I thought she was beautiful but I don't want to look like her at this age. I keep thinking I should color my hair and then the thought passes.

Hmm... I doubt the mojo's missing. It's just stuck in limbo behind the kids, the house, and life in general. It'll come back once the kids move out, trust me!

Yep, not convinced. I see my grandmother turning heads at 78, no kidding. I suspect dichroic is right on the money here.

I feel ya L.A.! I'm 48 and in the last 15 months I have become a widow and a grandmother. I have always felt pretty good in my skin but the mirror isn't always kind lately. I still have my Mojo tho! and my outlook is that I'm going to work with what I've got because I may not have it tomorrow!

And you are?
