Tell me all about it, dear...

Yay for getting back to the gym. I was back for the first time after 3 weeks off with some cold/flu/allergy crud. I was "that girl hacking up a lung in the RPM class" (RPM is Les Mills trade marked Spin class). The time on the treadmill will come down faster this time but don't rush it - your mind remembers what you could do but your body takes a while to catch up with it! Looknig forward to pec deck stories. Hugs Bels

I kept looking at this entry and envisioning it as your MIL might write it. "Today LA and I finally got back to the gym. Once again, I am *so glad* Mick found her - not only is she wonderful for him, but I got a great daughter -and gym partner! - from the deal. And Wolf is a doll too; she's such a good mother and Mick loves having a kid. Anyway, back to the gym. I could tell people remembered us; well of course. We make a distinctive pair :-) And anyway, who could forget a goddess like LA? Oh sure, she might have put a couple of pounds on, but you are as spectacular as she is, who notices? Being larger than life isn't about physical size anyway. It felt good to get our bodies moving again; of course it will take a while to get back to where we were, but we hadn't lost as much ground as I feared. I could tell I'm a bit tighter, so I stretched with LA; I think that will be good for me. So glad to be back at the gym - go us!" You will notice, I wrote nothing that isn't strictly true. I'm sure your MIL would agree. (But it's better to do your serious stretching after the workout, when your muscles are all warm and soft. Before it, it's just good to do some range of motion work for the exercises you're about to do.

Tomato faced Amazon or not, I bet you were missed by one and all. I give you big props for going to the gym. I have great intentions but here it is, almost the 4th month of 2011 and I haven't started any exercising...

Good for you for taking the first step!I just read in our local paper that a PF is opening up right around the corner from where I live. I plan to check it out! Oh, and I sympathize (sp?) with you and the red face. When I'm gardeing in front of my house, people slam on the breaks and wonder where the damn stop sign came from!! :P
