Tell me all about it, dear...

This entry is just one of the many reasons I love you so (and Anna too for agreeing). I think that often but have never said it a quarter so eloquently. My rich cousin is a tax crybaby and I often ask if he'd like to raise his own army, pave his own roads, and purify his own water supply. Jackass. Maybe that's why I wasn't invited to dinner this Christmas. Love love love you! XOXO K

Here, here! I'm a waitress who claims all of my tips, I don't mind paying my share, it's part of being a member of a community.

Happy Belated Birthday, LA!! I love how you can take something as confusing as taxes and translate it for all of us!

Well said! And hurray for large tax refunds! I wish I had that to look forward to...

Another good lesson on life from you. Thank you for saying it so well. Husband and I were delighted last year when we got all the money back that we had paid in during the previous year and this year looks to be the same for us. And I agree, it is great to get a big sum of money....it's like a gift that we can spend on something we really want or need.

Well put, though unfortunately a great deal of tax money is misspent. Still beats the alternative - I don't know about you but I'd rather keep the luxury of calling the police when there's a hail of bullets in the neighborhood, or the fire department when somebody torched the wrong thing.

Day-um! I was fixin' to write a similar post soon... and I probably still will... but now I've got to be careful to not plagiarize you! Thanx for being her, Lady!

My high school biology teacher took care of the Billy's. Came time for the final he announced that I was to go to the back of the building and grade tests from other of his classes. To the groans of protest he told them that even if I flunked the final it was only going to drop my grade to a "B". So for all those that cheated off my tests and papers - the clue sheet was removed. Looking back on it I feel it was a brilliant move!
