Tell me all about it, dear...

I'm really, really glad to hear that you got something that would make your life a little easier and give you a little bit more freedom. I also love being away and alone; hidden from people who know me, and anonymous to the people who can see me. I think it's therapeutic.

Congrats on the new laptop..hope you will be very happy with it. I recall that my mother always put her right arm out when she was stopping to hold back the passenger in the front seat...even when the passenger was a grown woman with a child of her own. Once a mom...always a mom.

My youngest is 13, and often not even in the car, and I still stick out my hand to protect the person in the passenger seat when I have to slam on the brakes. My grandma did it too. We can't help who we are. Congrats on the laptop. I love mine almost as much as I love my children.

I'm still dreaming about a laptop, but the ancient desktop needs to be replaced first. Unfortunately, I don't see either of those things happening any time soon. Enjoy!

Imagine my awe when we came around the bend into Estes and saw the Stanley sitting there in all it's glory. I had read the book while still living in Philly and hated hated the Kubrick version partly because he refused to honor the Stanley and threw in that horrible grey stone prison like substitute. So shortly after we moved here we took a trip to gawk. And gawk we did. They have ghost hunting events there but we never partook of one. Enjoy the laptop. I use on every day, like right now, so I don't have to urn up and down stairs all day long to conduct bizness. It's great. I too have a full size, a refurbished IBM Thinkpad, not really lightweight, but not too bad.
