Tell me all about it, dear...

I enjoyed the book - and learned a lot. And now I am so glad I didn't pursue plans to rent a houseboat on Lake Powell with egress only through Mormon Enclave Land. So very glad. Maybe they geocache out there!

I've read the original book by Ann Eliza here: http://www.archive.org/details/wifenoorstoryofl00youniala Also, you might be interested in the story of Fanny Stenhouse.

Yes indeedy, the Mormons. Speaking as an Ex-Mormon who actually went on a 2 year mission to Spain, I can honestly say that the LDS (Mormon) church is nothing but a huge money machine that oppresses women and Gays and have nothing to offer other than a strict regimented way of living that does not allow for any deviation from their prescribed views on how everyone should live life starting with giving 10% of your annual income to the overflowing coffers of the church. I am still dealing with the PTSD that came from being a missionary for those SOB's and thankfully the nightmares only come around several times a year now as opposed to nightly - and I was over there from 1981-1983 ! For a really honest look at the Mormon church and the damage they have inflicted on people, go to EXMORMON.ORG and you will read stories that will curl your hair. Nothing more than a CULT without question. From Pedophilia to suicides for being Gay....so very sad. John in Phoenix
