Tell me all about it, dear...

I remember having that same conversation with my son about some of the kids in his school... well, sort of the same... he still pretty much has the same friends, but with the exception of Flow, they are all pretty much doing nothing, and he understands now.

it's great when our kids figure it out. My son enjoyed having a private laugh w/one of his teachers at school. He loved it when no one else in the class got the jokes they shared.

Well I just had to copy that and send it to Sammie - she's too young yet, to be that wise. Love xxx

Tell him that there are those adults among us who voluntarily have gone without network TV for 6.5 years now. Yeah, I get my AGT fix from the computer, but I really don't miss most of the nonsense that is floating around. Also, I banned Nintendo from my house, and I was glad I did!

Oh! Gotta go! The kids want me to watch a Happy Tree Friends video with them! I just love those dear little critters! *Grin*

It IS hard when your kid's hero is the 15 yr old who has unlimited "Halo" time (mine was 12) and wants to play Grand Theft Auto and watch Family Guy (there is nothing whatsoever redeeming about that show, it's just crude and stupid)And I'm not naive enough to think mine never played it elsewhere. Most of his friends have game systems in their bedrooms who KNOWS how many hours they log zoned out to the killing stuff. We have a PS3 because it's the Blue Ray player that came with the TV and it sits in the family room, so video games are naturally monitored and limited in time to about an hour generally , and he has to ask permission to play, so at 17 he' s still WAY behind on the death match scene.
