I can relate on so many levels. My challenges with space and privacy are mostly work-related. I hate feeling invaded. You have my heart on this one.

Been there. Lived that. Hopefully today you get loads of alone time as both your boys are at school!

I can relate, but no longer have this problem very often. Hopefully yours will get better in time. Our day yesterday was actually peaceful and included a trip for two to the Botanic Gardens while teenboy was off canning peaches with a friend's family. The only hitch to our day was coming out of the venue to a dead battery in the car wedged in between 3 other cars in a tight parking garage and discovering our AAA card had expired. Luckily they were happy to take our money to renew and send help as "someone" has my jumper cables and no one in town was offering to assist. Right now it's just me home starting my work day in my jammies.

We must have had our stars cross or something. the same thing (almost) happened to me on Saturday. We had a last minute invite for breakfast with another couple. Plans were to join them for a couple of hours of conversation and then run some errands and come home so I could finish the laundry, make a birthday cake and read....so simple..... Instead husband decides to invite the couple over after we spend 2 hrs talking at the restaurant - to our house where they stayed for another 2 hrs. Then we ran the errands and it was middle afternoon before we got home. and we had unexpected company.....the one woman I can't stand in spite of her husband being my husband's BEST friend. Both men went to look at a tree that needs cutting at my son's house, leaving THAT WOMAN with me...so I tried to make small talk for the next 2 hrs while the menfolk were gone. I didn't want to do the laundry then and it was late to make the cake. Then the next day, when I started to make that birthday cake, my husband said I didn't need to do it because we were going out to eat at a buffet. Then our son called about taking us out to lunch and mentioned that he and his family would come over after lunch for the cake and ice cream we had mentioned earlier in the week. So I didn't make a birthday cake for either my husband or my son for the first time in 42 years.....it just ruined my whole weekend.

MERCURY RETROGRADE! Enough said. I have had nearly 6 head on collisions in the past three days (all with less weighty vehicles-ha!) and I won't go into the rest of the crap. Hang in there through the weekend and things should clear a bit with mercury back on a proper track.
With the kiddo back in school (for now) we should get together to commiserate and I can get your dishes back to you --- LOVE YOU SWEETIE!

Yep, I was gonna say what GBW said, Mercury is retro until Sunday, so until then, just hang in there! I had my bad Mercury day last week, so I can totally relate. I'm just not used to having 7 people in my house anymore, and while things USUALLY go along fine, just let in ONE drama llama, and it all goes to hell! But the good part is that you maintained even in the face of great challenges to your peace of mind. Hugs!

Ugh, you had a terrible day yesterday, so I hope you were able to squeeze in at least one hour of peace and quiet today. My Hub works on people's cars on the side and I always have to entertain them until Hub gets home from work or when they drop off their key and I HATE it! www.spunfull.wordpress.com
