Tell me all about it, dear...

Well said, my dear.

As always you do bring in another look at the good old days. But, I still like to remember the good times...and there were many.... Those memories help to balance out the abuse and the drunkedness of a step father, the fact that we had no money and that I didn't see my real father for many years. I will smile at the sweet memories of a few neighborhood friends; playing dress-up, playing with dolls, coloring books and new crayons, my first chocolate soda, finding 75 cents frozen in ice outside the drugstore....all good times for me.

Pro and con to both sides of the story. So much of the old days are sweet memories for me - the freedom to play and do what I wanted. And yes, all your points are well taken. Decisions....decisions....
