Tell me all about it, dear...

I know there are no words of mine that can mitigate the pain of being treated like that by your sons, but it is a vile trick of fate, not anything you have done or left undone or brought upon yourself in any way. They have no choice but to be who they are. Hold on to that LA, it's the truth. I love you, and I think MIL does too, which is not the same, but is because of who you are. I want you here on this sofa, being treated like an honoured guest. One day, Mrs Sage, one day.

Yeah, what she said. I think you need a nice little vacay to either England or Arizona, and let the males of the house be irrational and self-involved all by their lonesomes!

heh - i think its a boy thing. similar thing happened to me, and my son didn't bat and eye, and he's not an aspie (as far as i know). my daughter who's 6 came running to see if mommy was ok however. apparently it never occurred to my son that i might be injured. i'm the mom and i'll always be ok.

*hugs* P.S. And was Mick cringing and apologetic after? And if not why the hell not?

Of course it is not fair but maybe the next time you think about going out of your way to make NICE for Mick...you can find something else to do for yourself instead. As for the older son; he is a lost cause and probably a very, very unhappy man. Younger son still has a chance to get it with your continued guidance.... TREAT YOURSELF TO SOMETHING SPECIAL...YOU DESERVE IT.

And you are?
