Tell me all about it, dear...

Sometimes it's the smallest things that make the biggest difference. Good luck with this. I was a biter too and am now living proof that it can be different. I keep my nails short because of the instruments, but at least they look nice. Huzzah to you, my friend!

Good luck! I'm sorry that things went so awry in November, and this thing is an indication of how tough it's been.

I managed to stop biting my nails to the point of pain a few years back but I "worry" the odd little snagged piece from time to time. My best way to stop is to use clear or lightly tinted HARD AS NAILS on them. And yes, you do deserve to look lovely....have you ever noticed how many of those "celebrities" have ugly nails....and they could get them done for free....

As a lifelong nail biter, I can relate. I've managed to resist the temptation for a couple of years now, but the urge never goes away.

I have chewed my nails all my life, down to the very quick as you pointed out. And funnily enough, I mention it in my latest post. Haha. But it's such a hard habit to break. It's not a matter of, "well just put your mind to it!" Half the time I don't even realize that I have my fingers in my mouth. The other half of the time if I don't rip that little edge off, I will obsess about it. I can feel it, it needs to come off. GAH. So yeah, I have no fingernails. I wish you all the best in kicking the habit this time. And maybe one day I can do it myself.

After I OD'd on the news after 9-11, I decided that part of my depression was the news. I no longer watch it for any reason, and I don't read the papers. I know it's sticking my head in the sand, but life and the news goes on without me and my input. Plus I'm a whole lot happier without it!
