Another life lesson for Wolf. He is so lucky that you two wound up together in this universe. You teach each other great lessons....I think that fact that he is asking about his father and brother is huge....I think he is getting it....great story about that lovely woman who made you so happy and taught YOU such good lessons too.

Yeah for Mrs. Ferraro and for you for your honesty with Wolf. He will always know that you have his back!

Thanks for sharing that, LA. It reminded me of the woman who was my Mrs Ferraro, the new Matron who arrived at my school after I'd been there a couple of years and made exactly the same extra effort with me. Like you I wasn't suffering from a surfeit of love and attention on the home front and this was HUGE. Love to you and lovely Wolf. xxx

You'll never stop babying your kid. Don't even try. My wife still babies our kid even though he's 27 years old and has almost got his PhD in the bag.

What a beautiful story! Wolf is so lucky to have a mother willing to be so straight-up with him. I've always felt it's the best way to raise kids. I too was pretty much starved for love and affection as a kid, and it was those few gentle souls who saw that and responded by giving me the attention that I craved that still stick out in my mind years later. For me it was my first grade teacher Mrs Nelson, and then in my teenage years it was my dad's next door neighbors who saw past my teenage angst and gave me such wonderful guidance that they are still dear friends of mine.
