Thing 1: True Blood rocks my world so had I'm barely even embarrassed to admit it anymore. Things 2: Yoga sucks. It is flat out hateful. IMHO, of course, but the more I come out as a Yoga Loather, the more people I find are anxious to (quietly, from behind the hand) agree, especially tall solid girls like us.

You do know your old deck will turn up again now you have bought a new one :)And it sounds like you have found the perfect way to measure your accomplishments at the gym! YAY for less bitey yoga pants! Hugs Bels

I'm very impressed re: the gym. I remember the days when I enjoyed the impact it made on my body. I really should look into that again. I would like to learn yoga...but again...I don't venture out into the real world that much. Interesting that the new deck literally threw itself at you...wonder what it has to say...?

I know all about plateau discouragement... You're smart to not pay so much attention to the numbers. That's amazing about the new deck falling at your feet! Very cool!

I love True Blood. I read the first book, too, but it followed the series so closely that I got lazy and didn't read the others. I'm assuming they part from each other at a certain point. I do Iyengar yoga, now, and I am loving it, with its focus on alignment and working with what you have, body and flexibility-wise, while slowly strengthening and opening you up. . It is difficult at times, and not always "om, relaaaaxing" but I'm learning a lot, in this very different form. I know I sound like a bit of an evangelist, but I couldn't let the only comment up here be a yoga loathing one...I'm tall (5'7 and a half) and solid (175 lbs) and it works for me. But, yeah, I hear you on the too many activities problem. You'll know when you're ready to take on the mat. So...what deck didja get?

Yay for True Blood! Looking forward to season 3 coming in June. (Note to Kim... after the first novel, the plot lines of the show and the books diverge so greatly that there is no danger of spoilers in either direction.)

I love True Blood too. The second season is twice as rank as the first one, bloodier too! One thing I noticed, as did a lot of my friends who watch the show, that Anna whatever, who plays Sookie is the WORST actor on the show. Good thing she has a good supporting cast!
