Tell me all about it, dear...

When my eldest was a little kid (he's 41 now -- time flies!) and I would read "The Velveteen Rabbit" to him, he would fortunately usually fall asleep before I got to when the velveteen rabbit turned into a real rabbit and I would be crying. Guaranteed. Every time.

I am so sorry about Alex. I wish there was something I could say to take away even a wee smidge of that pain for you. Holding you in my heart.

You got through your birthday in spite of the reminders of days in the past. I find that I tear up over just about anything these days too. Sometimes it makes me so mad at myself but what can you do.... Happy Birthday again.

Awwww...what IS it about bunny stories?, the Velveteen Rabbit, Runaway Bunny (also my younger's favorite at one time)and I have been on the other side of the long dark menopause tunnel for a few years now. I remember well the days I would suddenly be mad at the DH for something and then start sobbing while knowing how silly it all was, but I couldn't stop.

I had a sniffly day, too, but it was because the admin made me cover for an absent one-on-one aide, which involves lots of walking. I told the assistant principal this would be difficult for me because of my leg injury, but he didn't care - just glared and said I had to do it anyway. A big hunk of that brownie might help...

Thank God I'm not the only one! Local news recently had the story of a young girl with a terminal disease. She stashed love notes to her parents all over the house. They're still finding them weeks after her death. I was blubbering like a five-year old.

P.S. Stay away from the children's book "Love you Forever." It's a killer.

And you are?
