Tell me all about it, dear...

I'm with you. Being gussied up should be a fun thing to do, not an obligation. The pressure bruise on one side could be the result of one leg being stronger than the other, causing you to lean to one side when you're on some machine. By the way, if you buy shoes from http://exoticsalsashoes.com/, a couple of tips: Salsa shoes are suede on the bottom to make spinning easier. I don't know if this translates to ballroom dancing, but I think it probably does. Also, I've been told that the satin shoes don't have any stretch and the straps might cut into your ankles, so leather is the wiser choice.

I gave up the gussies a long time ago. I did the gussy on Saturday night for the party, but most of the time it's just little old me. Hope your tangle with that unfortunate zit-thing goes in your favor.

'a mounting bruise' throws entirely the wrong images my way...

My DH doesn't understand why I would put on a pair of clean jeans and a t-shirt to go to the store in the middle of a day of cleaning or yard work that leaves dirt or smudge all over me. Maybe, the hardware store, but something about a grocery store doesn't allow me to do that. That being said, you will look no worse, and probably better still, than the crowd at Sam's. I think yoga pants and a sweatshirt are fine and as you say, who really cares anyway.

Going to the shops with no make up on and in skanky gym gear is the reason God invented enormous sunglasses. If you get caught, you can always whisper "hangoverrrrr" and get sympathetic nods all round! s x

It gets more difficult for me to remember to put make up on most days....but if I am going out, I still try. That being said..I can fully understand why you don't want to waste the time and makeup just to get some milk and rxs...

Oh those damn boils... I used to get them every year or so, but haven't had one in a long time, knock wood.

The supermarket just up the round from the gym is often full of people in work out gear looking sweaty. I figure we balance out the ones who are gussying up to go *do* their work out :) I quite often catch the inside of my knee on the edge of machines as I walk past them, not hard enough to hurt at the time but hard enough I bruise later! Or you could be like the high school girls who play sports and go to the gym in full makeup. I never did understand that -- they end of sweating most of it off before the game's over anyhow!
