Tell me all about it, dear...

A perfect story! I'll miss her.

That sounds SO like her. She was one of a kind.

The day after I met her, and she was telling me about her decision to have both breasts removed, she added something like "It doesn't like so bad, either." Pause. "Wanna see?" And she pulled up her shirt and showed me how great it was to have no breasts because then you don't always need to bother with a bra. That was the essence of our friend to me. She didn't keep anything back, she was all out there. No one else like her.

Even though I didn't follow her online, I did read her book. She sure had a challenging life. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

I know she would be wanting us to share these things with each other and not crying, but laughing....

I was there!!!! And it's the first time I met her too. I republished my story of that time too. I bought a gold membership for 3 months hoping I'd get the pictures back but the membership hasn't been turned on. I can't find the hard copies. There is a great one of you and her...

When Cosmic and I realized that we were both going to attend JournalCon 2004 we thought it would be cool to catch the same Amtrak train (she was just one station after mine) but our schedules didn't match (the train Nancy & I needed to take didn't stop at Westerly) -- and that was a shame because a six+ hour train ride would have been a chance for some laugh-filled conversations. As I commented today to Bozoette Mary, if there's ever another JournalCon we'll all have to lift a glass in toast to Cosmic... ... and tell some jokes... and have some laughs in her honor. (I hadn't known you had been at JournalCon -- but think I only started reading your journal after that -- probably found you from comments you left at either Stephanie's site or Cosmic's site.)
