I agree with you. The first thing that comes to mind before we even travel out of NYC is what rights we will have at our chosen destination. I carry copies of all of our legal paperwork (power of attorney, etc.) and am at least familiar with local rule. Surely if we were moving somewhere new that would be one the first considerations. I find it hard to feel any empathy for these guys if the basic facts of this story are accurate. I just hope that their denseness leads to something positive.
