Thanks for sharing and timing IS everything isn't it? My man and I were friends, both involved in, and with, others and other things, worked at the same place, talked frequently. He lent me his copy of The Shining , when it was first out, and we talked about that. Who knew he was secretly watching me walking around him. A big concern when we did finally go out on a date a year and a half later was, would we ruin a friendship if it didn't work out. 32 years later, I think we made the right decision. No we didn't wait 20 years, but then, if we had, we wouldn't have been in the same place at all, literally OR figuratively. Yep, timing is everything. Lucky youse!

Heh. "We met online" has completely changed in definition since back when Morgan and I did it. I'm glad that the more modern (ha!) method has success stories too. :-)

I noticed that too. I even changed my profile to say "If you've been on Match for two years running don't waste my time or call me, you aren't really looking."

Do my eyes deceive me or have your sparkles spread to Mick? :)

Same with Terry and I. He knew my brothers 10 years before we met. He loves to say that we should have met back then. Nope. He was a Merchant Marine and I was just enjoying my singledom. Never would have worked. We were two different people than we are now.

Ah yes, the "oompa-loompas with dead fish" I'll never forget that one - thanks (I still laugh at it).

Yeah, timing really IS everything.... If I had met Mr. V. 15 years ago, we would have been like ships in the night....

Best. Picture. EVER! (Joe and I grew up about five miles aways from each other, but would have hated each other had we met in high school, mostly because I was a goody-two-shoes. Heh. What a difference college (and a lot of... whatever...) makes!)

And you are?
