Haven't been to Hyde Park since I was a kid, although it was a ride my folks liked to take, and we'd picnic there sometimes. (And always made it a stop on the tour for long-term out-of-state family visitors.)

So it's Mick I have to blame for the stinking two-hour delay, huh? Oh well, it's better than nothing, I guess.

Stinking two hour delay. If I can't go to 1kea I want a big storm. Bah.

Two hour delay? Everything is closed here in Rhode Island and I'm sure you guys must have had more snow that we did... however, after the disaster that was the last storm (Providence area ended up in gridlock when schools dismissed early at the same time many businesses closed with the result that there were dozens of school buses loaded with kids trapped in traffic jams for hours and hours, many until late in the evening -- and the school system never bothered to contact anyone) that everyone was certain that the least threat of snow would close schools. Sure enough, Providence announced yesterday that their schools would be closed today. Out here in the countryside they waited until 5:30 a.m. to announce our closings.

Everything is closed here too and this front ran right through you. I really thought you'd get it worse.

Delays just tease us unmercifully.

You were right, Never, I say NEVER get snow day happy before the day arrives.
Hope you had a chuckle and didn't get snowed in. Your adult weekend sounded great. And I read the diner menu and am absolutely starving now for some diner food.

*smile* I'm sure Mick couldn't have been bored with the first lady talk, because I know I was fascinated when you gave the same to me that time at the Smithsonian First Ladies exhibit. I learned much more from you than I did from those glassed in displays, that's for sure.
I can't imagine not farting in front of Morgan. We have no reservations in that department. heh. Everybody else, sure, but each other? Complete comfort and no decorum.
I'm glad you two had such a good weekend!

I love Eleanor too.
I have heard my husband toot I think three times, when he wasn't asleep. In 8 years.
He, OTOH, is lucky to ONLY hear me three times in an evening.
