Tell me all about it, dear...

In the thirty seconds or so it took me to figure out what you meant by a "condom spill", you would not BELIEVE the visuals that passed through my head.

Wow. I shall forever be a fashion dunce. I think I'll stick with long flowey hippie dresses and outdoorsey hiker chick attire. The world is safer that way. ;-)

October 21-23, you say? Why, I'll be popping at the seams, having lots of awkward sex, eating mouth-burning food and possibly swigging castor oil by that time. Or, if I'm really lucky, I'll have a boob in some new little person's mouth. Not in that fun, condom spilled kind of way, though. You're going to have a blast!

No dashikis? Oh, all right...

Thank you for the advice last night - I'm clearly a work in progress on that note.
I wish I could go to Journal Con, especially since it's even in my state! But alas, no vacation time whatsoever. I'll lift a drink to you from the north though.

San Diego in October should be much like San Diego the rest of the year: cool, possibly misty, and variable. Temps in the 60s-70s. Hot in the sun, cool in fog or shade. I may bring shorts. I will bring a light jacket, either fleece or my rowing one. (In which you will have no trouble finding me, because the upper back is the sunrise design of the AZ flag). But remember I'm adapted to Arizona heat, so you'll be warmer. And it's California, so fairly casual. When I was there for rowing camp last January, I went all the way from all my fleece on at once down to a spandex uni, in the course of each day. A T-shirt and jeans should be about right for much of the day, though.

Remember the 80s when people wore their collars up? White blouse, collar up, black belt, black penny loafers (with dimes in them, because this was 1986 and Greed was Good). Yikes.

Well ... not part of the journal thing; but do live fairly near San Diego ... just have to get ready to a baby presentation/naming/welcoming ceremony the following weekend.
But ... for San Diego attire you can always toss in a blazer for cooler evenings. It will not be the general appearance of the natives, but when has that stopped you?
