Wow. When I started reading everything you wrote, about the way you husband has treated you during the course of your marriage I thought: "That's *awful! Those would be horrible things to say to a *stranger,* but saying them to your wife is unconscienable." Then I read on and saw that you called him on his bullshit. Goddess LA, good for you! Damn. So many women live with that kind of abuse for years and never realize that it is their husband who's being a piece of shit and not some innate failing on their part. Mike is chillingly reminiscent of my own father just a few years ago. (Luckily, by Mom and I calling him out everytime he tried to play those manipulative mind games, they are largely a thing of the past). I admire you for knowing your own power and standing your ground. You really are my heroine. :-)
