I think the people who can live without thinking about it were raised with clear, understandable, consistent guidelines. They knew they were loved and they were treated with respect. Anyone who didn't have that kind of upbringing doesn't have a clean foundation to build on. I think you should look at your introspective moments as building the foundation under the existing house. It's awkward and a lot of work but oh so very necessary to keep from sinking down.

Whatever it takes for you to achieve contentment and happiness I hope you can arrive at that blessed place. Deb has a point I think, and perhaps a rock solid foundation you build will help you find your Eden. I think also that your diary is a good place for self discovery LA. Go for it.

Thanks for the flower thing, I KNOW what pansies look like for god's sake. Where the hell is my mind? Pansies are flatter and you can eat them. The petunia's, I don't know...but he was shredding the poor blooms to bits. I'm sure whoever planted them would not be pleased, but I backed him away before he did too much damage.
