Tell me all about it, dear...

Radishes may also be spindly from heat. I've never gotten a radish to set up a good root when the weather hangs in the 90 degree range. They mostly just sit there all pathetic, then suddenly bolt to seed. When temps drop again, they'll be producing again.

How in the heck do you have almost ripe tomatoes?! Mine are still blossoming and stunted. I like that you are pleased with school admin, rather than all "How DARE they"...like so many parents.

Heh, my older son got suspended in the first grade. He was feeling up the girls and hitting the teachers and wouldn't stop. What a hassle that was - he's finally settled down in fifth. I think it was because he could walk all over that teacher too.

The idol of "Self Esteem" where everything in the world is done to produce a "feel better" kid is avidly worshipped today.
I missed a year of school in elementary, and was "socially promoted" to be with the class I began school with. Ya' know, "He's a smart kid, he'll soon catch up with the class.
Yeah right - - - - EXCEPT there were fundamentals of grammar and much of basic arithmetic that I wasn't taught in that year. I still can't parse a sentence (whatever that is) and didn't come close to catching up in math until I spent a year in school on Voc. Rehab.
Even so, good behavior was demanded of us back then.
Right Rocky Bilts are a blast from the past LA, still would like to know how the school cooks cooked the meat and gravy for the "shit on a shingle" that was served in the school cafeterias here in town. It had something that no other ground meat had, I miss it still.

I suspect that if our oldest sons got together for an afternoon they would solve the world's energy crisis. If our youngest sons got together for an afternoon they would blow up the eastern U.S. Perhaps it is best we live so far apart;-)

How lucky to have staff that can't be manipulated. Warren is good at that manipulating stuff too, only instead of pitching a fit, he has verbal skills that would put a top notch defense attourney to shame. Everyday with him is a round of "Let's make a deal". He's the kind of kid that could figure out a way to talk people in Igloos into buying ice machines. When they introduced debating to his class last year he took to it like a CEO to money.

Definately keeps me on my toes

Did you go and cheat and get those hot house tomatoes for 16 bucks a pot? hmmmm?????? I had to wait until almost memorial day to plant!
