I am totally unequipped to say anything intelligent or knowledgeable with respect to this entry, so I'll just hug you.

WELL then.
Experimentation is good. But if anyone could raise a kid strong enough to deal with any and all kinds of discrimination, it's you, hon.

Somehow I read that as "pussy smoocher" and had to do a REAL quick double-take. Now I'm just plain relieved that we're still talking about garden-variety kissing.

If ever there was a parent that can support a boy with a crush on another boy, it is you. He is lucky to have you for a mom.

Eh so he currently has a crush on a boy. May mean something but may not. It could just be that he hasn't developed other emotional expressions for deep friendship or admiration. Counselling on the pushy kissing is a good thing. Other than that I'd just let it go. He has years to decide what he likes and doesn't like. There's no reason for anyone else to box him into one orientation or another.

I agree, Deb. Wolf likes Dante because he thinks Dante is totally cool. Knows nifty games, sings all the hip songs, etc. At this age I don't think Wolf's crush 'means' anything beyond my kid admiring and wanting to hang with somebody great. Time will out to where Wolf's proclivities lie. ~LA

Had the same thing happen with my 6 yr old daughter. She got in trouble at school for kissing a girl, when I ask her if she liked girls better then boys she said "No, I just like to kiss girls cause they kiss back, everytime I kiss a boy they make a face and run".....I thought it was a good reason. Next time my husband makes a face I'm just gonna find me a woman to kiss ;)

Asheville is #3 on the national list for fatalities caused by air pollution, so boy do I hear you. The saddest thing is, it's not because of anything we did. Most of our pollution comes from two sources. Ohio factories and Tennessee coal-burning plants. The way the air currents run through the mountains, it's all funnelled here and then stops, lies stagnant. Pretty awful. The tallest mountains around here, the trees are all dying at the peaks. From what? Pollution. They can't survive the quantity of crap in the higher altitudes.

I just discovered your diary from one of my buddies profile list. I couldn't stop reading, your writing is beatiful and incredibly captivating. I just kept clicking through entries while drinking coffee. I think I'm addicted, just thought I would let you know I've been going through your stuff. Hope you have a great weekend

Good for your boy. He'll find a girl who will be happy for his loyalty to his friends. And Dante's probably a cool kid.

In 2nd grade, Raymond was the boy who tried to kiss all the girls. By high school, he was openly gay. So, I'm in agreement with Deb and Dette and you. My hugs and sympathy for Alex. And for you, know that I will be chuckling all day thinking of Cream of Muskrat.

Whoa ... so I gotta ask: was the trouble for the kissing or for the boy part? 'Cause if they're getting all homophobic already, I think they need a big dose of you.
