Tell me all about it, dear...

I planted some brussels sprouts from seed for the first time. I expected about 10 plants due to squirrels and birds picking through. I got way more than that, like a hundred or so, so I Freecycle-d them. I offered them in lots of ten and said bring your own containers. They were all gone to happier homes in one day.

I love the sunflower thing. How awesome that you planted a little sunflower forest.

Your garden makes me feel wistful and a little jealous. ;-) We got a couple of small lemons off the trees that the owner planted here, but it's just not the same. ... Just fyi, generally corn needs to be planted in stands of a minimum of about twenty-five stalks for fertilization, fifty is better. Doesn't mean you won't get any, but the odds are way low. Still, corn stalks are cool looking and good for crafts in the fall. Hope you get an ear, or several!
