i have to believe that those rose colored glasses are still out there somewhere, and that we've just lost sight of them. we put them down somewhere and just can't find them. i have to believe that, otherwise what will i believe? love you, LA.

Alright, alright. I hear ya. People often suck. Sure. I agree with you there; it hurts, the selfishness they commit. But don't you dare start saying you can't do any good for the world, or you'll be one of them too, and I'll have to start despising you as well. And I simply won't tolerate that. Sorry. The fact that the world can be a very dirty and selfish place does not give you a "get out of recycling free" card, or any other sort of selfish justification for not still trying.

What's that line? "The good old days, were never that good..." I agree, it's hard watching the Republicans take over the government, and smear the Democrats as the problem...It's like dating a control freak who can't stand to lose an argument, and can never admit to being wrong...At least you don't live in a state where they issue "Choose Life" license plates...Did you see the latest Star Wars? Lucas slipped in a not-so-subtle political allegory where the Sith guy convinced everyone the Jedi were evil...All I can hope is, the youth of today can process and embed that lesson in their collective self-consciousnesses (consciousnesses?)...

Sorry, "Subconscious".

In a manner similar to Bartelby, only changing it around a little bit. I PREFER to, use turn signals, smile at oncoming foot traffic and so many other things I was taught at Mother's knee. I recognize the folks you are talking about and don't like them very well either. I can't change them, but by golly, I'm not going to let them change me either. I sort of like it the way I am. Hugs
