If you want something as a filler... try Silver Mound(Artemisia schmidtiana). It's a beautiful silvery-green color, spreads like wildfire, is low to the ground, easy to maintain and manage, usually only grows to a foot off the ground, is soft to the touch and non-alergenic! :D CLICK HERE for a pic.

Must have been in the air today... I went out and bought some stuff for planting too, though I have to do the container thing until we own a home again. If we renew our lease this summer, maybe we'll do some fall planting, even though we don't plan to buy this place. Right now all we have is rock and a smattering of oleander (which I hate), so I'm prettying up with some potted stuff.

Ever heard of something called "snow on the mountain"..? we had TONS of it at our 1st house... It grew crazy, we were forever cutting it back... It was pretty nonetheless...

I never answered your question, did I? "Do you have any color preferances? I'm thinking rainbow ombre yarns, if there's any child who will grow up in an atmosphere of delight, wonder and rainbows it'll be your baby." Heh. Yeah, rainbow would be perfect! We won't be doing the pink/blue gender color coding, so crochet away. And thank you!

I don't know if this will be quick enough, but for poison ivy you can pick up this stuff called Technu (or maybe Teknu) which is a soap that actually will take off the poison ivy, and prevent the horrible reactions. TH suffers terribly from poison ivy, the slightest contact causing weeks of suffering, and we used to keep the stuff in the shower. You have to use it fairly soon, though. Congrats on a wonderful day of achievement!

Isn't gardening wonderful? I love to look out at something so pretty that I grew and planned with my own hands. I poke at it for hours at a time and I have a small lawn and garden. I bet it takes you DAYS! I put in Mums last fall because you talked about them. They're just starting to come back now.
