Tell me all about it, dear...

I fondly remember the days when we would go over to Tico-Taco near where we worked to eat lunch. The old man sez, back in those days I could eat stuff so hot I'd break out in a sweat before I finished. And had to make a pit stop before I left the restaurant -- that stuff went straight through. The remarkable thing is, I truly enjoyed it, loved the taste and the feel of eating on the dangerous side. Those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end . . . . . . Reflux, reflux -- Pepto Bismol by the bucket when I try anything like that now.

Thank you!! I thought I was alone in not understanding why food that hurt was a good thing. I eat to enjoy, not test myself. There are only two scenarios where I like to work up a sweat; dinner ain't one of 'em.

i, on the other hand, cannot get enough of the hurty food. i have a bottle of hot sauce affixed to my hip. but i prefer just a little sting, not enough so it obscures the flavor. i think 9 years of catholic school did it to me. xoxo, d

Mmmm. Me loves the hot food. Even with my bad gut, gimme the hot stuff. As for fast cars. Mr Wrong drove an Olds 442. Loaned it to me on weekend when he needed a road trip worthy vehicle and we swapped. Vroooom. I think the best thing about that relationship was that I got to drive a muscle car....

And another thing, re: the flavored oils: http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/greenline/00v3/12.html Would hate for you to inadvertently kill people..... And the NY trip would be at the end of July, if it happens. Will keep you posted.

I don't eat hot food either. Ice cream is so much better.
