Tell me all about it, dear...

Oh yeah. I want to hope, too. I want to not be jaded and cynical, and thinking they're all Republicrats, so why bother....I want to BELIEVE in those speeches I heard. I ordered some window stickers and buttons, including a pro choice button I plan to stick to my purse, and, as I told my husband "Not take it off when we visit your parents". Having a Kerry window stick on my car is going to be a lot like having a "PLEASE KEY ME" sign on it, but I gotta do it. I gotta stop being embarassed about supporting the Dems....cuz if there are enough of us..... C

You and me both, kid. Clinton should have told them to go jump. And it is hard to have faith. As Edwards said last night, "We know what's coming, don't we?" I have a feeling he's right: I think the Republicans are going to show us all just how sickeningly low they can stoop, how nasty they can be, how utterly vile and disgusting and prurient. The thing is, it's up to us as citizens whether they are going to get away with it. I think if they show their true colors--red, as in red-faced angry Cheneys--eventually people in this country are going to get sick of it. We all have our threshholds of fear and pain, until one day, we say, "SHUT THE FUCK UP, ALREADY." Hopefully, that day will be November 2, 2004. End of tome.

Way to go Milady. Promises made do not action make. On the contrary it seems, especially if made by politicians. Run on to an article several days ago that bodes ill for all of us I think. http://bastion.diaryland.com/1696.html Trust who ? The bankers, our government in power right now ? Politicians in general ? Haa, ha ha

I am actually afraid to have hope or get too excited. I have such a clear image of my feelings during the last election. I actually said "I"m not worried - there is no way in hell this country would elect that idiot" Shows how much this political science major knows! -S

That's odd that you feel you're apologizing for being democrat. Must be where you live. Around here people won't admit to liking Bush. If I were to be on the right, there would be no way in hell I'd admit it for fear of flogging.

And you are?
