Tell me all about it, dear...

It's sadly true for many of us that it takes something too big for us to ignore to see that now it's time to look after mom first. For me, of course, it was the brain tumor. I way laying in bed like a lox while the Hubs got the kids dressed, fed, and off to school AND THE WORLD CONTINUED TO GO AROUND. No one was more amazed than I was. And in time, I got over the guilt, and you will too. You are doing the brave thing now. *hugs*

Maybe it would help to look at it this way: we love you, and it hurts us to see you hurting. So geez, how could you be so selfish and cruel as to not take care of our friend? HAVE YOU NO DECENCY, WOMAN? :-) Seriously, please try to continue on the path of caring for yourself. *adds to the hugs*

Bravo, lady! And now, if you're anything like me, you need to bookmark this entry in a special folder marked for periodic rereading, so's you don't forget you had an abrupt return to sanity once upon a time. (I said that with a smile, you know.)

The best gift you can give to anyone else is to take care of yourself. Those who love you don't want to see you suffer. They want you to feel good, mentally and physically. No guilt. One thing I'm learning.

lyme disease huh? I don't know a thing about it..just that it's not so common in the Seattle area. What with the rain. And rain. The chiropractor would be great! If only we didn't owe so much money to everyone.

What Pandi said. I'm learning that lesson myself, though not as dramatically as you.....every dollar I spend at the massage therapist's and the shrink's to work on ME is actually benefitting everyone else. And YAY for massage....changed my world! C

Fuckin' A, dude. And I echo the previous poster, too. When mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy, and making you happy is a Very Good thing. I hope you get healthy and happy.
