Tell me all about it, dear...

I can cook and sew, but the work I have to put in when trying to coordinate an outfit is pathetic. It is a skill and one that I covet. I don't wear all black to be mysterious, I just know I'll match!

I can cook, when I want to. I can bake, when I want to. I can't wrap worth a hill of beans, but I can make the best damn bows and ribbons this side of the Mississippi--when I want to. Do you see a pattern here? Don't mind me: I hate everything today. Many tomatoes to you, my dear!

oh sweety! for those of us who are fashionably-challenged...knowing how to accessorize truly IS a gift! looking good with what i have is NOT my strongpoint! on another note, isn't gardening....healing? i love all stages of gardening, watching them grow from tiny green sprouts barely poking through the soil, into beautiful flowers or, as you said, honest to Godfrey FOOD! comin' outta the GROUND!! gardening is good for teh soul, i believe it!

glad you're enjoying the gardening.
other than some herbs, i don't grow veggies, but here's something i read about tomatoes that might be helpful, if you still smoke (as I still do):
wash your hands before tending to the tomatoes. i've heard they are very susceptible to a mosaic virus which can be transmitted by cigarette smokers. don't smoke around them, or handle them after you've smoked without washing your hands. who knew? well, now I do.

I wouldn't say "wastrel" or "bum." Wolf keeps you plenty busy, as does the garden. And, much as I like other people's kids, I KNOW I'd be a shitty mother, because, well, my whole issue is about operating on someone else's schedule, and with kids, you end up doing that even more so than an office with flextime, methinks. Anyway, I'm just putting a puss on today because I'm sick of living by society's idea of 9-5 and a damn bus schedule. I might not hate it so much if I could come and go as I need to in order to get the job done, without asking or notifying anyone else about it. And the whole interpersonal dynamics thing pisses me off, too. Office politics bite big hairy moosecock. Basically, I don't like being forced into doing business on someone's else's schedule, with people on whom I wouldn't waste spit because they have the ethics and personality of Jabba the Hut.
