You rock! I wonder if the person whose future sanity you saved (laundry person) will ever know they have you to thank. Some rooms should never be designed by men. My favorite are large public restrooms - I can always tell which ones had women in on the design. They have places to sit handbags that won't get wet while you wash your hands. Good job!
