Tell me all about it, dear...

My dad was laughing at a Car Ad the other day, it was talking about "gentler times" and trying to cash in on the nostalgia market. We ended up having a discussion much like the one you posted in your diary a couple of weeks ago - how much "gentler" the persecution was back then. And I thought of you while we were having the discussion. The Mister and I often have conversations about how much easier it would be to be right-wing religious and have a no question in your faith or that fact that you are ALWAYS RIGHT. People think being a liberal or, in our case, an atheist is taking the easy way out but they are so wrong.

I'm a liberal republican if that's possible, and I don't think I am totally right because of my conservative thoughts. And I don't hate everyone because of my conservative thoughts either. Make sure you come back and give us a posey report:)

Amen, LA! I am driving my husband nuts each night at the dinner table, where we watch tv news while we eat (a big mistake I'm thinkin') - he WAS a Conservative Republican, and I WAS a liberal Democrat. I changed to an Independent, and he changed to a Libertarian, over the years, but my rage each night over the content of the news, especially the subject of gay-bashing idiots who want to shove their way of live down the throats of every last breathing human being, gets totally out of control...and I've got to learn to keep my big trap shut so my dear husband can eat his food in peace for a change. But you said a mouthful, and I say "Here Here, LA!" ~Bex~

Gee, perhaps we're channeling the same angry goddess today. Dammit.
