That turned my stomach. As I'm sure it was supposed to. You are such a powerful writer.

Have you seen "mona Lisa smile" I watched it yesterday and it brought up a lot of good points, we should all go hug the women of that time period...

you are totally amazing. hey, i once did a project for a class in which i envisioned a picture book about racism which was the story of little richard and how white dudes (elvis and pat boone specifically) cleaned up his songs. my teacher flipped her lid over it. maybe i'll actually write it someday, with your help. xoxox, d

Awesome entry today. I went through this with my mom's ex-best-friend. She started to talk to me about the "good ole days" and the days of "Leave it to Beaver" and how wonderful it all was and how we should get back to that today. I basically gave her the same arguement that you so eloquently gave...I love her but she still responded that it was the golden age even if it wasn't good for "some" people. HUH???????

I'm going to send this to already correct-minded people so we can feel good about ourselves. I mean that.
At my job I'm tired of being called unpatriotic because I want BETTER for ALL. Assholes.
Cheers

This is a great piece of writing and I agree completely, *except* for one question: bergamot for abortions? I've heard of using ergot for that, but not bergamot, unless it's supposed to make the lye taste better(somehow that doesn't seem right, either...:>) But I really like your total lack of political apathy; it's inspiring.
